At Watson, environmental friendliness isn’t just a fad. It is a standard we have been committed to from the start. As a Pacific NW company, Watson Consoles are built to satisfy the need for comfort and convenience within dispatch centers, while remaining committed to doing our part in protecting the environment.
The beautiful backdrop of the Pacific Northwest has set the stage for us to produce high quality, environmentally friendly furniture and consoles. From start to finish, we take pride in the quality, health, and long-term sustainability of our facilities and the products we offer.
Watson’s Guiding Principles
Built using the highest quality, commercial grade, certified durable materials available, Watson Consoles are built for 15+ years of active 24/7 duty. We stand behind our products with our top-notch Lifetime Plus 10 Warranty. We are committed to our partners for a lifetime of care.
Not only are our consoles built for constant use, they also support safety, indoor air quality, and environmental ethics. From our facilities, processes, and practices, to the products we sell, we strive to establish habits and methods built on practical environmentalism. By choosing recycled and recyclable materials to create our products we help customers understand and meet environmental standards in their own buildings.
The first step in our pursuit of what we call practical environmentalism is proper sourcing. We are proud to say that 75% of our materials are sourced within the USA, and 32% of those materials are sourced within 500 miles. Local sourcing is an essential aspect of reducing our carbon footprint, as well as supporting our local economy.
Due to our green efforts in the Pacific NW, we are able to offer LEED credit for projects within 500 miles of our factory. Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, commonly known as LEED, is the widest used green building rating system in the world. LEED offers credits and certifications as symbols of sustainability achievements and is becoming increasingly important to consider when designing new facilities.
Quality, sustainable materials are the foundation of Watson dispatch consoles. By choosing materials that will hold up with consistent use as well as encourage cleaner air in our facilities and dispatch centers, we are contributing to the clean indoor air movement.

The sustainable processes we use to create our dispatch consoles and furniture make Watson a stand out American manufacturer. Our facilities have been designed to eliminate hazardous and non-sustainable materials and processes.
Taking advantage of leftover water, our no discharge steam cleaning process filters and reuses reclaimed water. Additionally, our finishing process for powder coating emits no VOCs, making Watson’s metal processing extremely sustainable.
The US has a trash problem. Producing over 30% of the planet’s total waste, while only holding around 4% of the population. Since packaging tends to be one of the top waste items, we aim to use all recycled or recyclable material during shipping. The majority of our products are wrapped and shipped using recycled blanket wrapping with more fragile items being supported by 100% recyclable honeycomb cardboard.
Sawdust during production is inevitable, choosing to repurpose sawdust is not. At Watson, around 350,000 pounds of sawdust is produced. But instead of contributing to the local landfill, we choose to gather and compress leftovers into briquettes which then are used to fuel the local paper mill.
Any chance Watson has to save leftover material for reuse, we take! All drawer interiors, on steel products, feature reclaimed powder coating. Creating a unique blend by combining multiple colors that would otherwise be discarded, each batch varies. If they wish, customers can request reclaimed powder on all parts of steel components.
Watson manufacturing takes place at the Orchard, our 34-acre forested headquarters, nestled in the scenic Pacific NW. Throughout our facilities we are committed to being better to the earth. By providing employees with the information needed to have awareness of things such as paper handling and energy performance, we foster a responsible work environment filled with passionate people.
