Understanding how we can help dispatcher health and focus during long shift hours is our primary goal. With more than 2500 consoles installed across the nation, we've had the opportunity to speak with many dispatchers, engineers, IT techs, and center managers. Our most recent innovation, Mercury, was designed as the direct result of more than five years of interview-driven research with center managers, dispatchers, call-takers, and IT personnel. Every Watson console provides:
- Full height-adjustability, easing body strain by promoting posture changes throughout the course of a shift
- Focal depth adjustment to relieve eye strain
- Thoughtful and ergonomic design details including placing environment controls within reach
- Conventional and emerging technology integration
- Durability that meets or exceeds BIFMA standards for 24/7 shift work
- A lifetime warranty
Over the last 35+ years, our teams have developed superior expertise in both wood and steel manufacturing. And we continue to improve techniques, materials and machining to advance durability and design innovation. Our unique approach to blending wood and steel, and understanding the best applications for both, results in beautiful, durable technology furniture that lasts a decade or more. No other console manufacturer applies this blend of advanced design philosophies to their consoles.
We have customers who have had Watson consoles for more than 20 years and they still look great!
Historically, Watson has provided technology workstations for Public Safety and Security. Interaction with users in alternative spaces has reinforced that our consoles are well-suited for multiple applications. Our technology workstations are design-engineered with crucial attributes necessary to support real-time monitoring environments:
1) house multiple technology platforms
2) shield power and data cabling
3) guard against interference and disconnection
4) promote operator attention and promote prompt reaction time.
Watson offers four primary console designs with multiple models and options to suit specific needs in multiple industries.
Focus on Improvement
Our commitment to continuous improvement is evidenced first by our culture of curiosity and second by our ISO certifications in Quality Management, Environmental Management and Occupational Health and Safety. ISO requires that we develop repetitive processes, audit them regularly, and adjust them for lasting improvement.
